Die Danny kommt!

Sie hat gestern angerufen und kommt schon in 10 Tagen! Freu!!!! Vielleicht kommt sie mit dem Zug, das ist gar nicht so schlecht, dauert nur etwas länger. Aber wenn man rechnet, in Deutschland zum Flughafen fahren, da mindestens zwei Stunden eher sein, einsteigen, warten, anderthalb Stunden fliegen, wieder warten, austeigen, aufs Gepäck warten, Passkontrolle und Fahrt von Malpensa oder Bergamo nach Bellinzona, kommt man auch schnell auf sieben, acht Stunden.

Ich bin auch mit dem Zug gefahren und ich fand es sehr entspannend. Man steigt nur ein- oder zweimal um und die restliche Zeit kann man sich ganz entspannt ausruhen, essen, lesen, aus dem Fenster gucken usw. Das beste wäre sicherlich Nachts zu fahren und zu schlafen!

Und die Isabel hat auch geschrieben, ich hoffe sie kommt mal mit der Manuela vorbei. Sie haben wohl Lust. Jetzt müssen wir noch ein gutes Datum finden.

Und die Sylvana kommt hoffentlich auch im Sommer!! Zusammen mit Olli und dickem Bauch... ;)

Le persiane

Bellinzona is a real windy place and right now the "persiane" (foto) are battering against the house with the wind. If I ever leave this place I will miss the sound of that.

You cannot only open and close them but you also need to fix them because of the wind. On the outside with the little things to the right and the left of the photo, usually in the form of little heads (love them!!), and on the inside it's a bit more complicated. You need to fix an iron rod and that then gets fixed with another little piece of iron. Still, when it gets really windy they batter against the house, which can be annoying if someone in the house just forgot to fix them, because then it's real loud.

They are, however real useful in the summer, because you can close them and fix them and leave the window open so that the air can enter but nothing else... I guess that's also the reason why they are almost exclusively found in the South of Europe. A lot of people also close them around midday...

Wow, my English is definitely on the slope down... as my Italian is getting better and better... I now had the first "experience" that I used to have with English when I began to really speak well (well, that's in the past!!)-- using intuitively words that I hear but that I never actively learned, like I suddenly began saying "Son stanca" instead of "Sono stanca." (I'm tired.) In fact I do not hear anyone pronounce the "o" in "sono"... I've always loved arriving at that stage of language learning. Well, and I admit I now like Italian much better than English, sorry guys...

Die Sonnegetankt- habenhochstimmung hält an! Heute hatten wir Föhn und es war so wohlfühligschön warm und luftig frei draussen, ich hatte das Gefühl die Luft umarmt mich. Und dann habe ich in der Mittagspause entlang der Funicolare (Bild- die Spur geht neben der Schule her bis rauf zur "Madonna del Sasso") einen total schönen kleinen Weg voller grüner Palmen gefunden, von dem man die Aussicht über den Lago Maggiore hatte.

Und der CPL war heute wieder so süss. Und ich spreche wirklich über 15-16 jährige Teenager. Hilfe!!! Aber wir haben nocheinmal den Akkusativ und Dativ besprochen und sie sassen da mit grossen Augen wie in einem spannenden Film. Und dann haben sie noch angefangen es sich gegenseitig voller Motivation zu erklären. Und auch noch richtig! Manchmal sind sie ein Lehrertraum! Ach, ich hab sie lieb! Alle!!!

Morgen belohne ich sie dafür mit einem Lied. Annett Lousians "Wer bin ich wirklich?"... ich finde das total schön und die Sprache ist auch ziemlich leicht. Ich hoffe es gefällt ihnen auch.

Frühling!!

Sooooooooooonne!! Ich habe in den letzten Tagen so viel Sonne getankt, dass ich viel zu viel Energie habe! Am Freitag dachte ich schon, hm, die Vögel hören sich an wie im Frühling und am Samstag habe ich die erste Amsel gesehen. Yay!!! Ich liebe Sonne!!!

Am Freitag nach der Schule bin ich runter zum See und habe mich ans Ufer gesetzt, voll komisch, denn der See war irgendwo da unten- er hat so wenig Wasser!!!- und es hat total reflektiert und ich hab sogar die Jacke ausgezogen. Und am Sonntag Espresso in der Sonne in der Piazza, Zeitung lesen und entspannte Atmosphäre aufsaugen.

Die Berge sind noch total voller Schnee und ganz weiss aber in Bellinzona ist alles geschmolzen. Das witzige ist, im Zug von Bellinzona nach Locarno sieht man jetzt genau welcher Ort keine und welcher viel Sonne hat. In Cadenazzo zum Beispiel liegt noch jede Menge Schnee, d.h. die liegen so unglücklich, die haben im Winter überhaupt keine Sonne, die Armen.

Mein Regenschirm!!!

Oh Meeeeeeeenno!!! Es schneit schon wieder!! Ich will nicht mehr!! Heute ist alles schief gegangen! Zum Glück erst nach der Schule, der CPL war heute total lieb. Erstaunlich lieb?
Grübel...

Aber dann, das Mömö. Macht mir Pipi in die Schultasche! Mit den Hausaufgaben vom CPL! Mit ganzen FÜNF Briefen, die für euch alle waren!!!! Alles nass, alles ekelig!!! Mist, mist, mist!!! Und blöd von uns weil wir den Sand gewechselt haben und irgendwie schon gemerkt haben, dass das Mömö da kein Pipi drin machen mag. Es will seinen alten Sand in der Kiste!!!

Und dann in der Stadt! War ich so glücklich über meine wasserdichten Snow Boots, und alle anderen Leute mit ihren nassen Füssen (ausser die mit Gummistiefeln oder ebenfalls mit Snow Boots), komm ich aus der Manor (das ist sowas wie ein Kaufhof in klein), hat mir einer meinen schönen rosa Schirm geklaut!!! Gemeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeein!!!!

Dafür hab ich jetzt einen noch schöneren. So!!! Und die Briefe schreib ich euch noch einmal, versprochen! Das dauert nur ein bisschen. Vielleicht am Wochenende. Und den Sand tauschen wir auch aus, Mömö.

Schnee in Datteln!

Einmal alle fünf Jahre schneit es auch in Deutschland so richtig! Ich weiss gar nicht mehr wie alt ich auf diesem Foto war, aber ich erinnere mich daran, dass ich unbedingt ein Iglu bauen wollte und mein Bruder meinte, das schaffen wir nie! Da musste ich es natürlich erst recht schaffen und habe sogar weitergebaut als es schon dunkel war. Dickkopf wie immer!

...and even more snow

A little later: Well, we ventured into town to the two nearest shoe stores and it was quite an adventure! Everybody was slipping, sliding, evitating ponds of water, slipping on compressed snow that had become like ice, navigating umbrellas of other passengers, cars were splashing water everywhere and all the time it kept snowing.

About two steps from the house my boots were already filled with ice-cold water! In the first store I didn't find what I was looking for so we "swam" down to Botty. There I found a great pair of snow boots, light blu and very warm and comfortable! (And not exceedingly expensive like the ones in the other store). I had brought a pair of dry socks so I put them on and left the boots right on. Returning home was still quite a challenge, however, as much as the sidewalks and streets are full of a mixture of snow pushed aside by the snowplows, water that has nowhere to go and frozen snow and ice (photo: the street behind the house right now, in the background Castel Grande)

My cat Momo has decided to relax and sleep all day, after checking that the weather was the same leaving by the living room doors and the front door, so now he is yawning in my face, looking happy to be inside.

It's snowing...

Once again it is snowing, a lot this time, but with the temperature above 0 degrees, it is no fun!!! Especially since I wanted to go to Ikea today because they are lancing Christmas trees and I also wanted to order my new bed. But to go to Ikea you have to pass the Ceneri mountains and that's a no go with this weather. There have already been several accidents!

Going shopping in town isn't an option, either, because the wet snow is more than ankle-deep and it never stops snow-raining. I have no shoes and no coat for that kind of weather. I am slightly frustrated. I do not enjoy spending all weekend inside!!! If only the temperature dropped a bit (we got 4 degrees currently) so that it would stop raining on the snow and it would all stay!!! We would have two meters of snow in no time!

Well, Nico just returned and also cancelled the alternative trip to Tenero because the car is slipping on the streets... arghhhhhhhhh!!!
